We've teamed up with a wholesale frangipani nursery to offer frangipani plants for sale. Prices start at $99 for mature plants and just $7 for small plants. The small plants are a minimum of 20cm long and are available as single stems or forked stems.

Varieties available include Plumeria Rubra, Plumeria Stenophylla, Plumeria Pudica and Plumeria Obtusa (Singapore Pink and Singapore White).

AUSTRALIAN ORDERS ONLY. Please note, due to quarantine restrictions, we DO NOT send our frangipanis to Western Australia, Tasmania and overseas countries.

Available Frangipani Species

Our grower, Plumerias of Noosa, has a large variety of frangipani plants available, starting from 1 metre tall.

They specialise in Plumeria Rubra (the most common type of frangipani), Plumeria Stenophylla (White Magic), Plumeria Pudica (Everlasting Love) and Plumeria Obtusa (SIngapore Whites & Pinks).

Plumeria Rubra

The most common frangipani is the Plumeria Rubra. Rubra come in many colours, from white to cream to yellow, even oranges, pinks (both pale and hot pink), reds and even deep cerise. They also come in multiple colours (such as pink, apricot and yellow in the one flower, known as tricolour). And Rubra has the most fragrant flowers!

A Plumeria Rubra can grow to 5m tall and almost as wide.

Plumeria Obtusa

One of the most popular frangipanis is the Plumeria Obtusa, also known as a Singapore White or Singapore Pink.  As the name suggests, these flowers only come in shades of pink and white.

The Plumeria Obtusa is also known as the evergreen frangipani,  as, in the right climate, they will keep their leaves all year round. Plumeria Obtusa are smaller plants than Plumeria Rubra and grow only to the size of a medium to large shrub (depending on your climate). They are sensitive to cold climates & frost.

Plumeria Stenophylla

If you are familiar with Plumeria Rubra and Plumeria Obtusa, your first glance at the leaves on a Plumeria Stenophylla will have you totally confused! Plumeria Stenophylla leaves are very long and thin, not unlike an oleander.

The flower petals of a Plumeria Stenophylla are also very long and thin, and have a wider gap between each petal than a Plumeria Rubra.

Plumeria Stenophylla is a well shaped bushy shrub with a long lasting flower display. It grows to approximately 2.5m.

Plumeria Pudica

Plumeria Pudica are very easy to grow, and bloom heavily for a long time. Like Plumeria Obtusa, they can be evergreen in warmer locations.

Plumeria Pudica leaves are dark green and a unique spoon shape (long and thin, and then widen out towards the tip, like the shape of a soup spoon).

The flower petals of a Plumeria Pudica are similar to those of Plumeria Obtusa. They are more rounded than Plumeria Rubra, creating a more rounded flower, however they do not arch backwards like the Obtusa. Again, they are generally only available in shades of white or cream, however a new pink cultivar has just been released.

Plumeria Pudica is a medium sized tree with profuse branching.

Shipping Fees

Shipping costs are $15 per four plants.

Maximum Shipping Fees

For large orders, we will contact the customer and confirm the most suitable and economical shipping method. When a South East Queensland order reaches 13 plants, the maximum shipping fee of $55 is automatically applied. When a Sydney order reaches 45 plants, the maximum shipping fee of $187 is automatically applied.

Destinations

We send our frangipanis to anywhere in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Northern Territory, South Australia and even Canberra. Sorry, we DO NOT send our frangipanis to Western Australia, Tasmania and overseas countries due to having to jump through hoops for quarantine and outrageous costs.

Our Frangipani grower

Our frangipani grower is Plumerias of Noosa.

While most nurseries aim to follow trends and increase the variety of their plant species, Plumerias of Noosa specializes in frangipani plants and is one of the most prominent frangipani wholesalers in Australia. Plumerias of Noosa operates their frangipani farms near the town of Boreen Point in several locations in the surrounding Cootharaba region.

Supplying Frangipani Trees From Noosa to Australia

Plumerias of Noosa aims to serve as many locations in Australia as possible and, thanks to the population density and transport availability, the majority of their customers are located in the main cities on the eastern coast of Australia, namely Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Thanks to proximity, they also supply many landscaping projects on the Sunshine Coast. Unfortunately, due to quarantine restrictions, Plumerias of Noosa does not send frangipani trees to Western Australia or Tasmania.

Frangipani Flower Colours

Plumeria Rubra
Darwin Red Our red category includes both black reds and blood reds. Red frangipanis have an all red flower. The leaves have a red grain which makes the red frangipani easily identified even when it has no flowers.	Pink The pink frangipani is one of the three common frangipanis along with the white and tricolour.
Common White Also known as cream and traditional white, the white frangipani is the most common of all frangipanis in Australia and is the most popular of the rubra species.	Yellow Our yellow category includes varieties which have 90-100% of yellow.
Tricolour There are thousands of colourful variations and no matter how rare and valuable they are, it is our policy to mix them all into our tricolour group and have one basic price. Some well know frangipani flowers which are included into our tricolour group are Apricots, Fruit Salads, Rainbow Varieties and even the occasional Jack Purple and Cooktown Sunset. As the name suggests, a tricolour frangipani flower usually has three colours. Often orange (sometimes yellow) in the centre and pink (sometimes purple) on the outer edges of the flower and some white in between.	Hot Pink Cerise The hot pink cerise is a stunning frangipani. The cerise is often confused with the red frangipani but on a healthy plant and in sunlight, the bright and almost florescent pink is easily distinguishable.

Plumeria Stenophylla (White Magic)	Plumeria Pudica (Everlasting Love)
The frangipani often labelled "White Magic" is a rare frangipani species which has needle like leaves.	The frangipani which is usually labelled as "Everlasting Love", is a fast growing, flower producing evergreen frangipani. It is different from other frangipanis in the way it produces branches from its stem and becomes bushy. It grows vertically more than horizontally.
Plumeria Obtusa (Singapore Petite Pink)	Plumeria Obtusa (Singapore White)
(Dwarf Evergreen Obtusa) Many people who are very familiar with the white evergreen obtusa frangipani never realize there is another colour evergreen obtusa. The pink obtusa has glossy leathery leaves similar to the white variety but it has smaller flowers with little or no perfume. It is a dwarf which means it often grows wider then tall and only reaches a height approximately half of that of other frangipani plants. The pink obtusa is very rare which makes it even more precious.	(Evergreen Obtusa) For most Queenslanders, the Singapore White is the most stunning of all frangipanis. Its glossy dark green leaves, its large perfumed flowers and its evergreen nature make it must for Queensland gardens.

Frangipani Species (Types)

Plumeria Rubra

The most common frangipani is the Plumeria Rubra. Rubra come in many colours, from white to cream to yellow, even oranges, pinks (both pale and hot pink), reds and even deep cerise. They also come in multiple colours (such as pink, apricot and yellow in the one flower). And Rubra has the most fragrant flowers!

The flowers themselves have medium sized, oval shaped petals (always 5 of them) which are joined tightly at the base. The flower starts as a long tube, then the petals slowly unwrap and open to form the frangipani flower we all know and love.

The leaves from a Plumeria Rubra are long and oval and have quite a pointed end. The leaves are quick to drop off as the winter coolness approaches.

A Plumeria Rubra can grow to 5m tall and almost as wide.

Plumeria Obtusa

One of the most popular frangipanis is the Plumeria Obtusa, also known as a Singapore White or Singapore Pink.  As the name suggests, these flowers only come in shades of pink and white, although I am sure there are frangipani fanciers somewhere working on some new cultivars!

The petals on a Plumeria Obtusa flower are rounder than those of Plumeria Rubra, and they tend to bend over backwards at the very tips.

The Plumeria Obtusa is also known as the evergreen frangipani,  as, in the right climate, they will keep their leaves all year round. The leaves are a glossy dark green, long and oval. The ends of the leaves, however, are more rounded than those of the Plumeria Rubra.

Plumeria Obtusa are smaller plants than Plumeria Rubra and grow only to the size of a medium to large shrub (depending on your climate).

Plumeria Stenophylla

If you are familiar with Plumeria Rubra and Plumeria Obtusa, your first glance at the leaves on a Plumeria Stenophylla will have you totally confused! Plumeria Stenophylla leaves are very long and thin, not unlike an oleander.

The flower petals of a Plumeria Pudica are similar to those of Plumeria Obtusa. They are more rounded than Plumeria Rubra, creating a more rounded flower, however they do not arch backwards like the Obtusa. And like the Stenophylla, the Pudica flowers have no scent.

Again, they are generally only available in shades of white or cream, however a new pink cultivar has just been released.
